Moulin Rouge
If a fine film is like a fine wine, then Moulin Rouge is cocaine
I was astonished by the visual and music impact of Moulin Rouge. Very much in your face. I was also astonished by the quality of the singing and dancing of all the actor's involved. There was also much humour, I especially liked "Like A Virgin".
This film was not about plot or substance, although there was a story. Let the music and the sheer event of watching it take you on a rollercoaster journey.
Personal Note: I didn't see this is the cinema, and wish I had. We picked Moulin Rouge to see and planned to go out. We even had a babysitter. But the night we chose was September 11th 2001. Other events during that day meant we didn't quite feel like going.
