Birthdays

Friday, March 24th, 2006

Today is my birthday and my colleagues sang happy birthday down the phone to me, which was more embarrassing for them than it was for me, as I was working from home and there was no one else in the house. However, they had to do it in whatever office they reside in, next to disapproving managers of one sort or another.

The presents have been great but party plans have been wreaked for one reason or another; baby sitters and illness being the main cause.

My wife got me a lovely pair of “Converse Boots”:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Converse_Shoes, so I can be in with the “Doctor Who crowd”:http://www.bbc.co.uk/doctorwho/gallery/doctor10_01/800/t4.jpg and relive my indie post-teen childhood. My children made some excellent artwork which I’ll put up on “Flickr”:http://www.flickr.com/photos/paulfreeman/ at some point. George did a particularly excellent Dalek.

Things I’ve learnt in the last three months

  1. Having three children (one a baby) does not leave any free time for anything except crashing in front of the TV.
  2. A todo action of “plan website future” does not do itself.
