A Merry Christmas to all of you at home!
Doctor Who is set to make a comeback on Christmas Day, the Daily Star reports today.
bq. Christopher Eccleston’s debut in the role looks to take a prime position in the BBC One schedule, with an episode seeing the Doctor battle face one of his most feared enemies, the Autons.
Agh, evil dummies and giant plastic props, ahoy!

Cool - “It’ll all be here by Christmas”
I wonder if they choose the Autons as a homage to the start of the Pertwee era (and that of colour broadcasts) - as the 3rd Doctor’s first adventure was “Spearhead from Space”; the introduction of the Autons.
Just a thought - and the scary thing is that I wrote all the above from memory … really have watched too much of the good Doctor

I do not find that remotely scary! Scary is then going on to discuss other appearences of the Autons/Nestene Conscious in the TV series and novels. And having already read Sythespians(TM), the new 6th Doc/Peri novel with them in (due out in a couple of months)…

Ah, one of my favourite Auton stories was in Doctor Who Weekly; those little toy soldiers give me the creeps.
