TV Scifi

Whilst Aquarion pointed me to the excellent looking XMLTV I could have also kept an eye TV Scifi [via Keith] which keeps an eye of Scifi programs running in the UK.

Speaking of XMLTV, I had a long play with it last night (play meaning installing and cursing before finally getting it to work) and whilst it looks very good, I’m not sure if it would have helped me find the new series of Buffy. You see, you have to spend a lot of time with the tv_check script to pick programs that you will watch. The GUI isn’t exactly user friendly, and I couldn’t use it regularly. Maybe there is an option to search for program titles (or parts of) in the command line, so I could say, look for Buffy every week, but I didn’t see it.

Still a nice little utility and I expect I’ll use it with a little programming to personalise it for me (given some time).
