What’s New in XSLT 2.0 is a little bit ahead of its time, since the spec hasn’t really been finished yet. I think the most useful addition is going to be the multiple document function.

IBM XSL Exercise

Hands-on XSL is an article presenting a set of excersises aimed at getting the user to know the basics of XSLT.
It also seems to be an Origami experiment and it really is a Hands-On example. I can’t say whether this will help the novice understand XSL any better, as it is how the processor works. If someone actually has time to try it …

Google2RSS looks to be a very neat tool. Unfortuately, it is written for .NET in c# and therefore useless for me. I should make a goal to produce a simlar App in Python.

I imagine it has been answered already at XSL Frequently Asked Questions. The questions actually start with things that you can’t do with XSLT and doesn’t end there. I haven’t had time to go through it all, but it certainly looks comprehensive.
