BBC News | MIDDLE EAST | Backpackers baffled by Bethlehem siege

I love the taxi drivers potential role in this.

“They had been dropped off by a taxi at a checkpoint near Bethlehem and had made their way along streets torn up by armoured vehicles. ”

Maybe, it is different in Israel, but surely the conversation will have gone something like :-

“Where to guv?”
“Church of the Nativity, please.”
“Can’t take you directly there. I can drop you off nearby.”
“Okay”

Surely, he could have said something like
“You don’t want to go there. dodgy area that is”

A javascript url can be run when a user presses the backbutton in IE 6.0, according to a Security Focus article.

What did I do after reading this. I clicked the backbutton. But, that’s okay, because I use Mozilla.

Cycling can seriously damage you

“Britons cycle less than other Europeans. The reason for many is that they are scared to go on the road. So what can be done?”

This BBC article about cycling doesn’t actually give any possible solutions.

I cycled to work a lot last year, but there was not a single route that didn’t cross a very dangerous road or junction. Not great.
