I just thought I'd give a memory re cycling from many years ago...
I was sent up to the shops to get a loaf of bread and as usual I went on my bike. Being a clever d**k I carried the loaf back under one arm and used the other to stear and brake. As I neared home I used the brake, which happened to be the front, to slow down and probably due to lack of maintenance on my part the nut came off the back of the calliper and the brake stuck in the wheel. The effect was that the bike stopped immediately. Unfortunately I didn't and flew over the handle bar on to the road taking the skin off my elbow and my hand. The loaf was undamaged but I still have the scars on my elbowand and bits of road in it.
The roads were a bit quieter in those days so I did not endanger anyone else.

Nice to know you survived your ordeal.

P.S. you can get combination locks.....
