The acts commenced on this ball of earth: Upon my tongues continual slanders ride,
After the noise-fest that was Reading celebrating the new year in with many fireworks and bangers (nice free display; better than bonfire night, because they all went off at the same time) Gina and I phoned our respective sets of parents. We popped Emilia back off the sleep and then went to sleep ourselves at a very early 12:30.
Good job too, because we were woken by our DIY-mad next door neighbours. We couldn't believe that they were sanding at 8:30 on New Years Day. True to form, they were out of the house by 9:30, so I couldn't go round whilst I was still furious with them. Later I saw there car had returned but the anger had gone. I shall wait to speak to them.
At lunchtime we headed over to our other next door neighbours and had a wonderful afternoon with food, drink, children and friends. Emilia was having lots of fun playing with the older children until Aiden decided to pull her hair. She took it quite well and didn't cry much. Knowing her, I don't think it will be too long before she hits back at that sort of behaviour. She has a very boisterous character.
In the evening we watched films and soaps and generally slobbed as I have work tomorrow.
George settles into a pattern, Emilia gets slightly cheekier, I ponder on various things, I watch multiple football games, and read a lot (2)
Lots of work, lack of updates, a decision to make, George is getting fatter and the World Cup starts this week, (2)
George's 4 week birthday and Emilia's reaction to George (0)
It is interesting how two children from the same genetic stock can be so different. Even though he is only... (0)
It is 3am and the only way George will sleep is if I continually walk up and down the living room at a consistent and slow pace. (1)
