The acts commenced on this ball of earth: Upon my tongues continual slanders ride,

1. Dell-ahhh

   My new computer has arrived. I got an unexpected phone call on Monday saying it was ready to be delivered and at around 1pm today, the courier knocked on my door.

   Let me boast slightly about the spec[1]
   Dell Dimension 8200
   Pentium 4 2GHz
   512Mb NDRAM
   80Gb hard drive
   Windows XP
   64Mb GeForce3 T500 graphics card
   19" monitor
   + all the usual extras

   Now, I might be able to play some of the games I've got, instead of watching the slow motion replay of my avatar being mashed to pieces.

   Not sure about XP. With all that hard drive space, I'll be dual booting it with Linux.

   Also arriving today, was Python and XML by Christopher A. Jones, Fred L. Drake. No stopping me know.

   [1] Come on, I don't normally do it. Usually, I have a computer spec a year behind the standard, a car you wouldn't want to boast about and a job that might be described in some books as "Call Center Drone".
