The acts commenced on this ball of earth: Upon my tongues continual slanders ride,
We visited Emilia's Great Grandmother at the weekend. Actually, we stayed at Gina's aunt and uncle's (called the Dons) house mainly due to them having a nursery room and the house being generally child friendly. They have grandchildren themselves, who stay a couple of days a week so there was plenty of toys and exciting things for Emilia to do. Gina's gran's house is not so child friendly, and the hour or so we were there for was so exhausting. Emilia was into everything and this seemed to involve lots of pens, papers and expensive looking items conveniently at toddler height, easy to pull and insert into mouth.
The Don's have a house to die for. Six bedrooms with views on rural Cheshire. My ideal house, I would love to live both in the house, and in the village they live. Dream on. Anyway, the six hour round trip was tiring on its own (luckily there were no traffic jams on the M6 this time; the record for travel to Manchester is seven hours).
Emilia continues to be totally unfazed by everything around her. She totally loved the house, and in five minutes had learnt how to get up and down the stairs holding onto the railings, something she can't do at home.
