Maybe my enjoyment of Jeckyll has been enhanced by watching them out of order. It added a sort of Memento like feel to ep2 where clearly the characters knew more than me. Ep 1 cleared up a lot of the mystery so maybe I won't like the remaining episodes so much.

I can't even think about clicking that link until after I've seen ep23. I rather liked Catherine Tate in the Christmas special but thought that the character had only one ep in. I remain to be persuaded.

John Simm was clearly cast because of Life on Mars, but I felt it worked anyway.

Cape Wrath... caught 5 minutes of it the other day, but needed to go to bed and the 5 mins I saw didn't grab me. Must say, I don't know anything about the programme anyway.

I've kind of lost the plot with Jeckyll. Tried to watch the last-but-one episode but got distracted while it was on so videoed the rest. Then videoed last week's. I don't feel any urge to catch up.

Heroes, on the other hand, is superb. Not entirely sure how I feel about this notion that the second season will be very different: http://www.scifi.com/scifiwire/index.php?category=0&id=40354.

I think Catherine Tate has the potential to be quite good, but I think it's wrong to cast such a high-profile TV figure as one of the companions. I thought John Simm was wrong for the same reason.

And then there's Cape Wrath... watched the first hour of the opening episode and videoed its final 40 mins. I do feel the urge to watch that one, though more to see if it's going to get any better...

Dammit, you went for the molecular-restructuring angle. That occurred to me too, but I thought I'd play it down :-)

You have to admit though that it looks like a wooden box :)

One might go so far to express the thought that the chameleon circuit is capable not only of changing the appearance of the structure of the TARDIS, but also the atomic structure of it, so that what is actually mapped onto the void-space interior is to all extent and purpose; wood.

Of course, taking a sample for scientific purposes would be impossible due to the impregable nature of the TARDIS.

Yeah, but if you'd put something on the screen, you'd have had your forums go mad trying to work out what was on it :)

But... but... but... the TARDIS isn't a wooden box. It's a time machine with a chameleoplastic molecular exterior that maps onto a void-space interior suspended outside the regular context of space and time.

Or something like that. I have to admit I'm a little shaky on the precise scientific concepts involved. But I do know one thing: it's definitely, absolutely not made of wood.
